An Open Value Agreement is for small to medium businesses who want to spread their payments over 3 years, it automatically includes Software Assurance in all 3 levels available and is designed for companies with 2 or more PCs.

So how does it work?

Like Open Business licences you need to buy a minimum of 5 licences to open an agreement. These can either be a mix of products or if you are looking to standardise your company desktops you can choose from either the Desktop Professional Platform (Office Professional, Windows Professional Upgrade, Microsoft Core Cal), or the Small Business Platform (Microsoft Office Small Business, Microsoft Small Business Server Cal, Windows Professional Upgrade).

How do I pay?

When you purchase the licences the charge is fixed, this helps you budget knowing the installment payments are not going to change and with Open Value and Open Value Company Wide you own the licences at the end of the term. Open Value Subscription is a way of renting your licences giving a low entry cost, software assurance is included ensuring you can always be up to date with software releases.
